Original works by Ben Frichot are currently on display around the world in galleries representing artists such as Andy Warhol, Helmut Newton, Keith Haring, Salvador Dali and Moebius to name a few. His work emerged from the grunge movement in the 1990’s and he has since been commissioned by artists including Nick Cave, Foo Fighters, Motorhead, Pixies and many more. He was also commissioned by Australian Special Forces to design the squadron insignia for the SAS 2sqd and the NSW 2nd Commando regiment.
He is an artist and commercial designer known for reimagining vintage aesthetics. Taking style cues from the mid 20th Century and modernising them for the future. A twist on the time line of humanity and an extension of the Atomic Age. Frichot’s unique style has a highly distinctive pop edge that is at home with genuine world class Rock-Stars and global creatives. Today he is regarded as one of Australia’s most important poster artists with a rich history of artwork for the music underground.
Lucky Amour is an incredible find for us at the Lyons Galleries. His immense talent, colour and vibrance sits perfectly with the Lyons Galleries feel. Already we are selling Lucky not only throughout Australia, but we have been staggered by his popularity through the UK and EU. An extraordinary talent that I am proud to represent. Looking forward to taking Ben to a very Lucky world. Live, love lucky amour.
